Orion Managed Services, LLC (Orion) staff were engaged by a private, investor-owned utility to provide owners-agent program management and oversight of vegetation management contractors in support of utility compliance, safety, and fire risk reduction efforts related to vegetation management along utility electric distribution and transmission system assets.
Scope
Orion’s team of ISA certified professional foresters served as program managers to plan and deliver comprehensive vegetation management services for assigned regions and circuits. Scope included all aspects of program and project planning, pre-inspection, safety oversight, customer contact, vegetation trimming and removal, crew scheduling, work verification and quality assurance and documentation and reporting. Orion’s team of foresters managed customer relations and worked as seconded staff.
